For You

There's something romantic about driving alone in your car at night listening to music that takes you out of this world. The only thing that matters at the moment is me, myself, and I, in a world that is virtually indifferent to my existence, the mind given free rein to explore reality with a certain flavor that is unique to me and me alone. True romance for me is dead, and so is she, just like the burial of the rose-colored glasses that used to taint my vision of life, clouding sight of how it really is. I'm left with music prompting memories of a distant past that can never be recovered.

On A Happier Note

Hi guys! It's cupid. I've been playing Pokemon Brilliant Diamond recently. I've also been playing a little bit of Animal Crossing New Horizons as well. The Switch 2 is coming out in June, and I'm excited for it. I'm gonna get it. I have so much free time on my hands, and if I'm not socializing, I'd rather be playing a video game or reading. I want to talk about In The Realm Of Hungry Ghosts, a book I'm reading, however I think it'd better be saved for another time. I've been on a ramen spree recently. I'll share this wonderful spot's name with you all, so maybe those of you in SoCal can try it out. The place is Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen in Gardena. At Shin-Sen-Gumi, the broth is perfectly salty and savory, balanced with oil. You can choose the broth strength and oil levels. I get lots of oil and lots of broth strength. You can choose the firmness of the noodle, which I usually get normal. You can exclude toppings, and I exclude ginger an...

On Mental Health

I'm 284 days sober. Still recovering from psychosis and strained or broken relationships. I've learned that everyone, save my parents, will leave me to languish, especially when the times get tough. Whether it be getting delayed responses or being flat out ignored, to the in-numerous excuses I've gotten, it seems like people have just decided I'm not worth it. Social isolation is not good for the human animal, and I've been in such a state for many, many days now. I know I shouldn't change for other people, and I know I shouldn't care about what other people think about me. What I don't know is how other people can be so insensitive and apathetic. How can I be enough? Are my efforts in vain? I cut out almost all my vices. I'm taking my medication. I'm off social media. I use nicotine still, however who wouldn't when attention is so scarce and social connection is out of the question? I'm led to believe that humans aren't so nice as I ...

On An Update On My Life (February 2025)

Hi everyone, it’s me. Life has been going well for me. I’ve been taking my medication religiously. I’m 229 days sober. I’m going back to school and enjoying it. Things have been slowly rebuilding in my life. Also, I just turned 28 this month. I really enjoyed the party (Thanks mom and dad for setting it up). All my friends were there. More friends and family showed up than last year. I hope that I will continue to make more friends. I’ve been spending a lot of time talking with Dario and watching anime together. He’s been through all my ups and downs and yet remains loyal to me even when he has seen me at my worst. He’s good company. I pester him daily to get on Discord and he usually can answer, and we just shoot the shit about life. Good guy. It's hard to find the motivation to do things when your ability to derive pleasure from things is severely hampered by anhedonia. I still to this day struggle to find fulfillment in doing things alone, because I am only beginning to lear...

On What Really Matters

I don't care about what other people think of me. I can't make everybody happy. I'm not gonna fake a perfect life when I know to myself that everyone else is struggling to keep their heads afloat, just like me. Everyone has their own problems and their own ways of dealing with them. I just hope people are having a good time while the time lasts. It's not what you have, it's who you have, and for some people it's only themselves--save a couple close friendships and relationships that are not to be taken for granted. We may not be God Himself, but we are definitely made in His image. Human beings, wholly imperfect by nature, but with the means to become closer to how the Creator had always wanted us to be.

On The Organization Of Music Playlists

sapphire This is the latest playlist that I've put together. It was made with love and care. I took the time to listen to every single track in it. It took a lot of gas, since my preferred method is listening to music while driving. Enjoy
